283. News: PROTS Announced in the Parliament on Tourism Training Programs.

Tourism Training & PROTS Announced in the House of Parliament.
We received with great joy the news of our school being mentioned in the House - The Tanzania Parliament! The joy is not only at the institutional level but also to the fact that, the Ministry has realized the importance of training competent tourism personnel and this time including Tour Guides.
The Newspaper cut is from a daily Government newspaper UHURU of Saturday, July 11, 2009. (click.)
Also PROTS participated in the other training sessions mention by the Minister in her speech - i.e. Kilwa, Mwanza, Musoma and Iringa. This recognition is very encouraging. Now that the Curriculum is in place, we look forward to the next level of the Accreditation of tour guides.
