297. Laminated Library.

The PROTS Laminated Library. (Read on for the Latest Arrivals)
The year 2008 ended with a new unique product at PROTS, the LAMINATED LIBRARY. The PROTS Laminated Library was invented by Mr. Vedasto Izoba, Principal and it is progressing at an amazing speed. We will be publishing the new entries into our Laminated Library instantly.

We have stocked different Field Guide Books on
  • Animals,
  • Birds,
  • Plants and
  • Reptiles,
  • Course Books are the main entries.
We also have many famous publications on
  • Tourism,
  • Environment,
  • Wildlife Ecology and related publications.
Famous Magazines include
  • TanTravel,
  • Kakakuona,
  • Twiga Times,
  • many other brochures of all kinds etc.
Maps of all Nationa Parks, and big cities are included. All these are cut into single pages and every page laminated individually. Then the pages are given new serial numbers and put in shelves. This way they will stay there for many years. It is these Index numbers that has hit the 6000 mark!

Students are then required to borrow the cards for extra reading and references. It is compasory for a student to take a minimum of 5 cards before getting into class. To control the cards, it is not allowed to keep the cards overnight. The Library facility is useful to foreign students and researchers and it is also open to the general public.
The Alphabetical Index is still being prepared.

To give you an idea of how rich this Library is I have taken two examples (real ones) under S:
Saanane Island Wildlife Sanctuary – 14, 15,353, 769, 770, 1190, 3301,
Serengeti Nat. Park – 1, 15, 16, 62, 72, 81, 111, 131, 150, 175, 243, 284, 322, 351, 384, 459, 493,494, 689, 771, 801, 804, 856, 857, 1105, 1191, etc.

This means you can easily pick the cards you want to study in an instant. It will be great fun to study with PROTS. We value information and believe that a Tour Guide without Information is like a Bank without money!!
Ushindwe Wewe! Karibuni Sana!
